Video Presentations

There are various philosophies and learning theories that may serve as the foundation of curriculum plans and designs.  You are tasked to create a 3-10-minute video presentation on your assigned topic.  The presentation should incorporate a discussion of your assigned topic a specific example of a curriculum that espouses that philosophy or learning theory.

Procedure

  1. At the beginning of the semester, you were asked to choose from the following topics you would like to create a video presentation for. The topics include:

VP 1: Educational philosophy: Perennialism

VP 2: Educational philosophy: Essentialism

VP 3: Educational philosophy: Progressivism

VP 4: Educational Philosophy: Reconstructionism

VP 5: Educational philosophy: Constructivism

VP 6: Learning theory: Behaviorism

VP 7: Learning theory: Cognitivism

VP 8: Learning theory: Social Learning

VP 9: Learning theory: Experiential Learning

VP 10: Who are the millennials and Generation Z learners?

  1. Search for and study materials for your chosen topic and create a video presentation using any format that you feel will be most effective in sharing the content with your classmates.  You are free to decide how best this can be presented.  Be as creative as you can.

You are free to use any presentation format, but make sure that the final output is a video of the presentation which should not exceed 10 minutes.  Save your outputs in mp4 format following file name: HP211C_VP[VP Number]_[surname]_[month day submitted]

Example: HP211C_VP4_grageda_Oct20

  1. Share your video in this discussion thread.
  2. Watch the other presentations and provide comments to the videos of the others. Be sure to comment on all the videos.
