I think it's a bad assessment because the scenario did not describe if actual learning occurred for the interns. Assessment, including feedback, ideally should drive student learning. I find the validity and reliability of the assessment in the scenario doubtful.
Yung assessment tool (the checklist) kasi developed by a “training committee.” So I’m assuming na valid ito (it’s measuring what it is supposed to measure) and that it’s reliable (two assessors observing the same student, pareho ang magiging sagot sa checklist). Kaya hindi ko na i-question yung tool. More on the process pa siguro.

Agree on this Darby. What is questionable would be the process by which the tool was used. This shows that even though the instruments we use in assessment are valid and reliable, the process or how we use them also contributes to its validity & reliability.

You raised a good point here, Kiko. That's why we also need to evaluate our assessments by also looking at results and by asking students about the process itself and if it has made an impact on their own learning.
