DISCUSSION FORUM
Group yourselves (4-5 members each group) for an asynchronous group discussion on the Topic of Philosophy and the Health Professions. You may choose to use the Discussion Forum in the VLE course site and have your discussion there for everyone to read and perhaps respond to. Or you may open a chatgroup and have your discussions through social media, or you can schedule a zoom meeting and have an online discussion.
OPTIONS for Discussion Mechanics. You may choose any of the choices given in Task #3 or simply share with your group an article that you have read on the topic. You can find articles that discuss the benefits of teaching philosophy in medical education, Self-determination in Medical Education, Philosophical underpinnings of Problem Based Learning, Community Based Learning etc. Pose a question that you can try to answer with your readings and insights. Be ready to present the results of your discussion to the Class on the scheduled date either as a live report, a video presentation or an infographic.
