I have been passionate about maternal and child nursing since my college days, as I found this area to be the most rewarding and fulfilling part of my education and future career. Being part of the delivery team and witnessing the miracle of bringing new life into the outside world is incredibly fulfilling. The moment when a mother holds her newborn for the first time, and I have the privilege of assisting during such a life-changing event, fills me with a profound sense of purpose and joy. This experience deepens my commitment to maternal and child health, as it allows me to be directly involved in a significant milestone for families. During my early career, I worked in both an OB-Gyne clinic and a rural health center. These diverse settings provided me with valuable hands-on experience. Working in the clinic enabled me to support women through pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care, while my role in the rural health center exposed me to the unique challenges faced by underserved communities. These experiences enhanced my understanding of the importance of compassionate, patient-centered care across different environments. They also taught me the significance of adaptability, patience, and effective communication. Being part of the delivery team in both settings reinforced my dedication to this field. As I transitioned into my role as a BSN nurse educator, I carry with me the lessons learned from these early experiences, fueling my passion to serve and educate future nurses. My love for maternal and child nursing remains at the core of my professional journey, guiding me in my mission to promote healthy families and communities.
