During residency, I had an experience regarding the authorship of my research the left a lasting impression. My adviser, who was supposed to guide me and contribute ideas to the research, was listed as the first author, even though she did not contribute at all. despite this, she was credited as the primary author while I, who conducted and wrote the research was not appropriately recognized since I was a trainee then.
