This generation has witnessed the emergence and rapid rise of artificial intelligence (AI). ChatGPT exemplifies how technology is becoming an integral part of academic and professional fields. With the academic status quo still making its way to adapt with current tech, the ways we learn and write are already dynamically evolving through the development of language-based AI tools.
In the context of research misconduct, I have observed colleagues, and admittedly myself included, using ChatGPT as a tool for writing scientific papers. However, with the upsurge of its utilization, clear guidelines regarding ChatGPT's appropriate use and limitations have yet to be established and communicated to the scientific community. Despite the uncertainty, embracing technologies like these can drive scientific progress and, notably, help break language barriers across cultures, fostering a more inclusive and collaborative global perspective.
