Helpful and unhelpful feedback

Most useful feedback were those that showed me which areas in my performance needed improving. My strengths were honed when areas where I did well were highlighted. Honing strengths and fortifying weaknesses helped achieve learning. Least helpful feedback were those that were personal, feedback on events that happened remotely and those that had no impact on clinical performance.

Good or bad feedback  motivated me to do better, The good feedback helped me improve and the bad feedback helped me be self aware and therefore improve on my performance

Evaluators really need to train themselves to learn how to prioritize feedback, making sure that the essential and important ones (both good or bad) are made known to trainees at the right time and in the most effective manner. It's always helpful to look back at our own experiences as learners to help guide us on how we can also best help our trainees.
