For my unit of instruction, the conduct of testing will definitely contribute to holistically assess if the students have achieved the learning outcomes of the course. It is imperative to have a full grasp of the basics to be able to build upon their higher order thinking and as illustrated by Miller's pyramid, it becomes the foundation of their learning and from which can be assessed thru written and practical tests in the clinical setting.
