Thank you doc for this informative discussion. Being a medical professional, I think both are still applicable in medical education. Medicine may be ever-changing and requires critical thinking in some areas such as dealing with medical cases, procedural skills, treatment options and research which are true for essentialism but it still upholds general concepts such as history and nature of diseases which we learned from generations to generations, evident in perennialism.
