It's the other way around Pachie. Experiential learning as a learning theory can be rooted from Contructivism as an educational philosophy. Learning by doing is the tenet of experiential learning, but constructivism goes beyond simply "doing". It proposes that knowledge is a result of construction for which human experiences contribute greatly to. Construction of knowledge can also be achieved through vicarious experiences which is the main component of social learning.
