SGD 1: Case Discussion of Admitted Patients
Learning Objectives:

Present an admitted patient in a concise manner

Identify indications for inpatient treatment of common Orthopedic conditions

Describe the natural history of common Orthopedic condition.
Schedule: end of week 1 (Friday after conference)
Required attendees: All interns
Venue: Department library/Hybrid/Online
Facilitator: LU7 consultant coordinator or a designated faculty of the Department
Duration: 1-2 hours
Evaluation: Quantitative for presenters
Format of Activity:

Any student may be asked to present a case that they are co-managing as SIC.

The presenter is expected to deliver the salient points in the history and course of the patient in less than 3 minutes. Devices may be used to show clinical pictures and imaging.

The facilitator asks questions on the management of the patient

The facilitator clarifies the misconceptions and other concerns regarding the case
-
The facilitator may decide to discuss as many cases within the allotted time.
