The COVID-19 global pandemic has fast tracked a lot of developments in the hospital information systems as part of a hospital-wide business process reengineering effort consistent with the recommendations of the NIOSH (National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) - Modified Hierarchy of Controls. This lecture describes the role the PGH Information and Communications Technology plays in making healthcare safer for both patients and hospital staff.
