The Philippines has been dubbed as the Facebook capital of the world. Along with Facebook, Filipinos also widely use varied social media platforms entertainment, learning, and engagement. One of these areas include sharing health tips, personal health information, and even promotion of healthcare practice. However, it appears that technological and social media advancement have outpaced the policies and practice regulation governing privacy of health information.
- Describe how social media has been used for personal or general health information dissemination and health information utilization. Choose one of the policies cited in this module and describe what are the implications of this policy to your example of health information use in social media.
