Good day participants.
It is our pleasure to welcome you to this short course on Intravenous Line Insertion.
As you progress in your clinical rotations, it is highly likely that you will be tasked to perform certain invasive procedures. Although considered a nursing skill and task, inserting an intravenous line is a basic procedural skill among FIlipino doctors. It is very rewarding to be able to successfully insert an intravenous line on your patient.
It is the aim of this course to provide you with relevant scientific information as it relates to intravenous line insertion. In this course, we will explore and analyze each step with the ultimate goal of increasing your chances of inserting an intravenous line successfully in a safe, aseptic and compassionate manner.
