I have no friend or colleague who have been involved in predatory conferences or journals. But I have received consistent emails from seemingly predatory conferences and journals. They have a generic e-mail message and suspicious email address. They also keep on inviting me even if their "conference" or "journal" seem to have a very broad scope or unrelated topics. I have always been curious what it will look like though in a predatory conference.
