I don't have personal experience using ChatGPT or AI in research, so this lecture is a good way to prepare for doing that.
For a report, one of my residents used ChatGPT to generate a diagram of what he wanted to explain. What he did was to summarize the topic from the book he read as best he could, fed it to the program, and asked it to create a diagram. That's what he used to present. He was transparent about how he did it, and we just agreed for him to indicate that the diagram was generated via AI. I also emphasized that they would need to double check any output from AI.
