I have no personal experience on a colleague who were a victim of predatory journal or conferences. However, I have attended a conference that I myself consider a low quality predatory conference where researchers were only given 10 minutes to share their research and I thought the time was not enough to really discuss the result of their hardwork. I know this is not part of the criteria for a predatory conference but I think that this should be added. The purpose of attending a conference is to share and gain knowledge but not being able to share the complete information because of time constraint is like a “click-bait.” This is like masquerading the conference as an event that has a lot of researchers in order for it to appear legit.
