I do not have a personal experience in authorship because I have never published a paper, but I was told stories about it. In high school, I was told a story of a dispute among researchers and my teacher on whether or not their name can be included in the research, but after reviewing the guidelines, they were able to resolve the dispute. The person was able to review the final draft, hence having their name included.
