A research question should have certain characteristics that help the research be more determined and particular. First, it should be relevant, which tackles the logical connection within the time bound of the research. It should also be manageable in which it must be aligned to the scope and limitations of the research in order to control its reach if it’s too small or too large. To avoid being vague, the research question must be clear and simple that focuses on the audience or the reader's comprehension and how they can grasp the knowledge and data right away. By being clear and simple, it must be interesting that makes the reader want to find out the results or commit to the study that you presented and worked on. Lastly, it simply must be answerable. In creating your own research question, it is necessary to be familiar with how it can acquire or provide a definite answer.
In creating a research question it could be identified from the general knowledge from the interest of the researcher. After identifying the subject, it should be researched to know what data exists and what literature can be acquired from that subject. Next is narrowing the subject by creating open ended questions that answer how and why. Lastly is aiming the most specific and measurable question. With this, it determines the topic that can be used as a draft for the question and answers the purpose statement of the study.

What is the relationship between the Filipino consumer behavior specifically on the low income population and the vernacular design of a product's packaging?
The packaging design of the products in the Philippines which can be called “vernacular” is seen to be derived from a specific culture from an established or institutionalized practice. It then became accepted and continued part of the design process of the products in their packaging. This can form a purpose statement or objectives which are (a) Explore the consumer behavior and its demographic on their preferred advertising designs or graphic design in: (1) Product packaging design; (2) Signage design; (b) examine the marketing/advertising strategies that work on the low income population, and (C) to analyze the visual language and visual culture of the Philippines. The study is qualitative in nature and will utilize correlational analysis to identify positive and negative correlation of the two variables. It will make use of questionnaires to measure the specific population interest, reveal opinions, and identify initial themes. It can also use naturalistic observation to describe and categorize experiences of the consumers and analyze data on consumer preferences.

This study is quantitative in nature that will utilize a descriptive approach with non probability, purposive, and quota sampling techniques. It will make use of Likert Scale. Employing the quantitative method to identify the factors that influence their perception and investigate how the songs and music videos promote and affect the cultural and native art awareness to the fans.
