1. I just used Zoom just to “monitor” my mentees once in Medicine like the Kumustahan in NTTC just to know how they are coping during the ECQ. It was not repeated because of internet connetivity, some have no signal & others have weak signal. I just do kumustahan via chat.
2. Online meetings via Zoom are prevalent nowadays. We had frequent meetings during the early part of the ECQ when we were just figuring out problems when PGH was designated Covid hospital. We use Zoom mostly & one time Google meet (?) for meeting in our professional societies. We also use Zoom as a venue for reporting of the residents for lectures on different organ systems and for discussion of journal topics to continue their training.
3. One of the complaints of the Med students is weak or no signal. If ever I Will include online forum in the tutorial of “How to interpret chest x-rays” interpretation for their oral exam. Lectures can be uploaded in Canvas/VLE as well as other materials like the syllabus.
