My name is Georgina Decepida- Matthews, married with 2 kids..leila rose 16, and geoff Andrei, 21.I am an Intensive care unit Nurse-,and have been practicing in this field for almost 28 years and I am truly passionate about providing care to critically-ill patients. Working in the ICU has allowed me to witness the resilience and strength of patients, and it has taught me the importance of being a compassionate and knowlegable Healthcare professionals.
I worked 10 straight years at the University of Santo Tomas Hospital and I able to experienced all areas and unit in that institution ,,then ,fortunately worked overseas for 15 years and currently working in a Local Government Hospital.
In my role as an ICU nurse ,I'm responsible for monitoring and managing patients with complex medical needs .This includes administering medications, monitoring VS, coordinating with the physicians and other healthcare team members and providing emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times.
I have experienced in various critical care areas ,such as post-operative care, trauma and medical emergencies. I am well-versed in utilizing advanced medical technology and working in fast-faced and high-stress environments. My priority is always ensuring the best possible outcomes for my patients and I'm constantly updating my knowledge and skills to provide the highest level of care.
I also able to experience in several surveys and accreditation like JCI and CBASHI in KSA and a policy maker and joined various committees. Being an ICU nurse has taught me the importance of teamwork and effective communication.
Currently, I'm continuously updating and upgrading myself through enrolling in a post-graduate school like this ,,so that I may not left behind and share my gained knowledge to my colleagues and patients in our unit.
