One concept from the lesson that I would like to emphasize is the lymphatic system itself, specifically its function which is to carry out immune responses. The lymphatic system produces cells that monitor and destroy foreign invaders or pathogens that may enter our body. It is made up of antibodies, white blood cells, lymph nodes and vessels, and other chemicals and proteins that work together to protect our body. In this time of pandemic, it is important for us to know how to take care of ourselves in order to maintain and strengthen our immune system. Understanding how the immune system works and how we can help protect our body is essential to combat the COVID-19 virus effectively. Thus, since the immune system's major function is to keep us healthy, it is our responsibility to take care of it so that it continues to function as intended.
