Choose one concept in our lesson today, give a brief explanation about the concept and cite how would you apply this learning in your everyday life.

Under the first line of defense, is the physical defense. The immune system includes the lymphatic system, which defends our body from external pathogens. It creates and releases immune cells such as lymphocytes (white blood cells), which track and eventually eliminate any external invaders including bacteria, viruses, parasites, and fungus that may infiltrate our body. The learning about physical defense is always with us and applicable in our everyday lives without even feeling how it works.  It also involves keeping our body's fluid balance, absorbing lipids from the digestive tract, and eliminating cellular waste. Our lymphatic system's functionality may be impacted by obstructions, illnesses, or infections.
