In studying the lymphatic system, I find the concept of Immunological Memory and adaptive immunity, the most relevant to the situation of the COVID-19 vaccines in mitigating the virus. I learned that with the help of vaccines, the immune system develops memory cells that trigger immune responses from specific antigens; therefore helping the body combat future virus infection from proliferating in the body.
