I personally find the connection between the lymphatic system and immunity really interesting especially in this time frame wherein being healthy is our top priority. When the body senses a foreign invader that may be harmful to us (virus, bacteria, etc.), the lymphatic system releases immune cells such as lymphocytes to destroy them. Without the lymphatic system, we won’t be strong and healthy like we are right now since we won’t have any help in defending ourselves from invisible invaders. Although we are given natural defense from invisible invaders, we still need to keep in mind to make an effort in keeping ourselves safe. Some examples of these are vaccinating against viruses, wearing a face mask when needed, and keeping our bodies clean and safe from bacteria.
