Choose one concept in our lesson today, give a brief explanation about the concept, and cite how this learning can be applied in your daily life.
The concept I have chosen that I liked the most and would like to explain is the skeletal system. The skeletal system serves as the fundamental structure of a body, and the whole body is constructed around this rigid skeleton. It consists of all the bones and tissues connected to joints, cartilage, and other body parts. The skeletal system makes blood cells and stores minerals and lipids. Additionally, it offers mobility. To create different motions, tendons, bones, joints, ligaments, and muscles all work together. The primary elements of the skeletal system are almost all the hard or solid portions of the body.
Learning the skeletal system is necessary for becoming a professional nurse. Medical reports are much easier to complete when I have a full understanding of what the terminologies are referring to. Understanding the skeletal system will not only mean that I am learning theoretical concepts but also practical functionalities.
