1. What are the organs that constitute each of the organ-systems above?

  • Integumentary System  - skin, hair, nails, glands, and sensory nerves 

  • Skeletal System - bones, cartilage, ligaments, and tendons

  • Muscular System - skeletal, smooth, and cardiac muscle

  • Nervous System - brain and spinal cord 

  • Endocrine System - hypothalamus, pituitary, pineal, thyroid, parathyroid, thymus, adrenal, pancreas, ovaries, and testes

2. Which organ systems function to regulate acid-base balance in body fluid?

  • The kidneys of the urinary system are responsible for the regulation of acid-base balance in body fluid. This occurs during the urine formation, during the process of tubular secretion to be precise.
