Assignment: Set Up "Drive for Desktop"

Objective: To be able to manage files using Google Drive, whether using the web-based Drive or one's computer.

Instructions:

  1. Make sure that the "Drive for Desktop" is installed in your computer. Follow the instructions in the topic 'Managing and Sharing Files with "My Drive"'. Otherwise, you may follow the instructions here: https://support.google.com/a/users/answer/9965580?hl=en.
  2. In Google Drive, add another folder named "[Test] Added from Drive". Create at least one file in that newly created folder.
  3. In your computer, open "Google Drive". Check whether the folder "[Test] Added From Drive" has been added to it.
  4. With "Google Drive" open in your computer, create a new folder named "[Test] Added from Computer". Create at least one file in the newly created folder.
  5. In Google Drive, check whether the folder "[Test] Added from Computer" has been added. Check also the contents of the folder.
  6. If you encountered a problem with the exercise, email ims-training@post.upm.edu.ph regarding the problem. 
  7. If you're successful with the exercise, just submit an online text saying that you're done with the exercise.
