ASSIGNMENT GUIDE NO. 4
FOCI OF EXPERIENCE AND LEARNING OUTCOMES
Task
After discussing the various elements considered in the identification of the foci of experience and looking into the characteristics of a good outcome, your task is to identify the foci of experience for a chosen clinical unit of instruction and formulate the learning outcomes.
Procedure
1. Select a specific unit of instruction that you are currently teaching or involved in planning or designing. Explore your current service, training, and research profile, including the context of your external and internal environment that you think may have an effect on the training program.
2. Based on this, identify the foci of experience of your clinical unit of instruction. What is the unique experience that students will have in your unit? What is the main area or skill that students should be able to do at the end of your training?
3. From this, formulate your learning outcomes. Make sure to consider the context of the learning environment in formulating your outcomes. Be mindful of the formulation of the outcome statement that the characteristics or elements of a good outcome statement is present.
4. Follow the following format:
