Outcomes of Genetic Counseling based on the REM
While the REM provided the tenets, strategies, and behavior, it did not specify the outcomes of genetic counseling. In this paper, these outcomes are elucidated based on a study of practicing genetic counselors. As you may notice, there are no hard and fast rule yet on the outcomes and these are all evolving. However, these are the outcomes that are practice-based and more research is needed to study these outcomes.
