    3. normal vaginal delivery (including episiotomy & episiorrhaphy)

    6. advise patients on breastfeeding, family planning/spacing

-   24 hour duty at the OBAS, LR/DR and Operating Room Complex

  2. Gestational trophoblastic diseases (complete & partial mole & gestational trophoblastic neoplasia)
  3. Late pregnancy complications such as placenta previa, abruption, lacerations and rupture
  4. Multiple pregnancy
  5. Hydramnios
  6. Cord prolapse
  7. Hypertensive complications of pregnancy such as preeclampsia, eclampsia, chronic hypertension and with superimposed preeclampsia & gestational hypertension
  8. High risk pregnancy such as IUGR, postdatism, pregnancy at extremes of age and medical and surgical complications as well as anatomic complications of reproductive tract. Poor obstetric history such as history of preterm births, neonatal deaths, intrauterine fetal demise, recurrent pregnancy losses and congental anomalies.
  9. Medical and surgical complications of pregnancy such as cardiac, pulmonary, endocrine, infectious, gastrointestinal, renal, immunologic, hematologic, malignant, neuromusculoskeletal disease and trauma
  10. Dysfunctional labor
  11. Postpartum complications such as atony, hematoma, retained placenta, inversion, infection and thromboembolic disease
  12. Obstetric shock 
  13. pelvic infections.

  15. Benign gynecologic lesions such as myoma, endometriosis, adenomyosis
  16. Premalignant lesions such as cervical, vulvar, vaginal intraepithelial neoplasia; Malignant lesions of the female genital tract

  1. Perform independently the following procedures:
  2. blood extraction and venoclysis
  3. Leopold’s maneuver and estimation of fetal weight
  4. Complete pelvic examination and clinical pelvimetry
  5. Cervical and vaginal smear for Pap test, culture and TMG
  6. NGT and urethral catheter insertion
  7. Intramuscular, intravenous injections and blood transfusion
  8. Normal delivery, local anesthesia, episiotomy, episiorrhaphy and perineorrhaphy or 1st and 2nd degree tears and postpartum monitoring
  9. Cervical inspection post partum
  10. Vaginal packing
  11. Initial resuscitation of newborn
  12. Family planning procedures like IUD insertion, removal and assist in tubal ligation
  13. Assist in minor and major gynecologic operations
