This session looks into the cell membrane - its components and its characteristics as well as the transport across the membrane. Through this module, you should be able to:

    • relate membrane structure to its functions
    • discuss transport mechanisms in membranes

The following are your tasks for this session: 

  1. Go through the biological membrane lesson. Answer the embedded questions in the lesson.
  2. Perform the simulation on membrane transport and share your results in class through the forum board.
  3. As a group, answer and submit the problem set on lipids and the membrane.
