Session 6 Guide

View

This session focuses on the kinetics governing enzymes. This is one of the best ways to know if a drug targeting an enzyme is able to inhibit it or if an enzyme is malfunctioning based on its kinetics.Β

At the end of this session, you should be able to:

  • describe the Michaelis-Menten model of enzyme kinetics
  • differentiate the effects of different inhibitors on enzyme kinetics
  • solve problems involving enzyme kinetics

The following are the tasks for this session:

1. Go through the Enzyme Kinetics lesson.

2. Participate in the class discussion.

3. As a group, answer the problem set on enzymes.Β
