Hi, I’m Rein! I have been looking forward to taking this course, especially after being assigned to Isla Puting Bato (the community that had experienced a devastating fire) two semesters ago. I hope to deepen my understanding of disaster risk reduction, emergency response systems, and the psychosocial support needed by clients in times of disaster. I also expect to develop my competence in triage, community assessment, and coordination with the LGUs and disaster response teams. Most importantly, I aim to be more confident and competent in aiding vulnerable populations during and after disasters.
