I was involved in a study regarding women's health lead by WHO and funded by World Bank. I am aware of the members of the research team and wondered how a DOH officer assigned to this Women's Health Project was included as one of the authors of the published article. I learned that it was the DOH officer who pesonally requested that to be named as one of the authors of the article. This was a classic example of research misconduct involving authorship.
