In one survey activity of a project I worked with before, one team was always delayed in submitting their data. When warned of non-payment and termination of contracts, the said team was able to submit data shortly thereafter. During data processing, inconsistencies were noted. A validation team was dispatched shortly and found that some respondents could not be found or contacted, implying that the data was fabricated.
