Predatory journals deceived the researcher into submitting their article and charged a fee for publication without providing a standard peer review or editing process. It is so sad that publishing in a predatory journal can damage a researcher's career and reputation. The lecture provides me with helpful information on how to identify and avoid predatory journals and conferences.
