Thank you for this insightful and informative talk on plagiarism and the many intentional and unintentional ways it may be committed. When I hear other people report their own instances of plagiarism, they often discuss it with a regretful tone. They regret that it sets  a negative precedent for their research habits, but also, a feeling of scholarly impostor-hood that took them years to contend with. Every story I hear of self-reported plagiarism is told by the perpetrator as a cautionary one that ate away at them for a long time afterwards.
