I have not personally experienced these but I read a report of duplicated publications of a colleague from another institution. When they were producing and sharing their publications one after another, I was inspired and looked up to that person because we know how difficult it is to publish in reputable journals. When the report came out, I was so shocked. Because of the report, some of their publications were retracted and I heard that that person was also removed in editorial boards.

I appreciate that this module discussed about salami publication. I think that the pressure to produce (quantity) publications from institutions contribute to pushing some to do these practices (though I recognize that this is not to justify the practice). Though the video presentation talked a lot about publications, I also wonder what the ORI thinks about submitting and presenting the same researches to different conferences. I believe that this should be disclosed by researchers as well when presenting the same research in different conferences but would want to learn best practices on this matter.
