Good afternoon, N-119 learners!

We are now entering into our full blown Assessment Phase of the Public Health Nursing process. To further assist and guide you, here are some notes:

1. After communicating with your respective faculties (Ma'am Angely, Sir Jerry, and Ma'am Luz), all three of them mentioned that your respective health centers are allowing you to proceed with all your assessment methods, such as household survey, individual assessment, KII, FGD, and photovoice, even without the cover letter and attachments recently sent to MHD. According to the three of them, you did not experience any resistance or any additional layer of request / formality from your respective health center officials.

2. In line with number 1, I suggest that you coordinate with your respective faculties for your next steps. By this time, I am aware that some groups still need to revise their DCP and tools, while some groups have already started or are to start their assessment methods.

3. In case you wish to utilize next week's Reading Break, kindly request this to your respective faculties as an independent field work. Please refer to our field work guidelines or your previous independent field work requests.

4. We will resume our plenary sessions by November 5 and 7 for your seminars at the UPCN Auditorium.

5. After November 7, we shall continue with your assessment methods towards the development of your Problem Tree and Objective Tree. The four of us will discuss our next steps, particularly depending on the following: if the class is already ready to present your initial problem tree or if the groups still need additional field work days for assessment.

For now, kindly coordinate with your respective faculties for your specific next steps. Areas to discuss with them shall cover: your DCP, assessment tools, letters, seminar details, seminar letters, and actual conduct of assessment methods. Should you need the signature of the Dean, kindly communicate with Ms. Joy of the Admin Office.

I hope this message helps. In case you need further guidance, feel free to message me or any of the four of us.

Maraming salamat. All the best with your Assessment! Mag-iingat!

Respectfully,

Vincent Delos Santos
