When one is suffering from this, they do not have control of their muscles, causing it to droop, making it harder to perform daily tasks as it affects the way you eat with the food falling at one side of the mouth, speak with the mouth unable to open one side making the person speak incoherent words, drink, just like eating, is affected by the other side of the mouth being paralyzed, and even blink as the person will lose control of their eyelid.
