Mechanism of Muscle Weakness

- Bell's palsy is the result of inflammation or compression of cranial nerve VII. This infllam,ation disrupts the normal transmission of nerve impulses to the facial muscles. Other symptoms are:

1. Difficulty with speech

2, Loss of facial expressions

3. Taste disturbance

4. Headache

5. Changes in salivary production

6. Drooling
