  1.  Throwing a baseball overhead
    a. Triceps brachii
    - Action: Extends forearm at elbow joint, extends arm at shoulder joint.
    - Innervation: radial nerve
    b. Deltoid
    - Action: abduct arm at shoulder joint, flex and medially rotate arm at shoulder joint, extend and laterally rotate arm at shoulder joint.
    - Innervation: axillary nerve

  2.  Kicking a ball
    a. Biceps femoris
    - Action: Flexes leg at knee joint and extends thigh at hip joint.
    - Innervation: Tibial and Fibular nerves
    b. Gluteus maximus
    - Action: Extends thigh at hip joint and laterally rotates=thigh
    - Innervation: Inferior gluteal nerve.

  3.  Doing sit-ups
    a. Transversus abdominis
    - Action: Compresses abdomen
    - Innervation: Thoracic spinal nerves T8–T12, iliohypogastric nerve, and ilioinguinal nerve.
    b. Rectus abdominis

    - Action: Flexes vertebral column, flexes pelvis on thevertebral column.
    - Innervation: Thoracic spinal nerves T7–T12.

  4. Breathing
    a. Diaphragm
    - Action: Contraction causes it to flatten, increasing volume in the thoracic cavity and leading to inhalation. Relaxation decreases the volume in the cavity leading to exhalation.
    - Innervation: Phrenic nerve,
    b. External intercostals 
    - Action: Contraction elevates ribs resulting in inhalation; relaxation depresses ribs resulting in exhalation.
    - Innervation: Thoracic spinal nerves T2–T12.
