Choose one concept in our lesson today, give a brief explanation about the concept and cite how would you apply this learning in your everyday life.
Personally, the concept that struck me the most in this lesson are the disorders: homeostatic imbalances involved with the Lymphatic system. These include: AIDS, Allergic reactions, Autoimmune diseases, Infectious mononucleosis, Lymphomas, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, and SCID.
By knowing and having a grasp of these homeostatic imbalances, we can have a deeper appreciation of our Lymphatic system by taking care of our body holistically. As also discussed in the book, stress affects immunity, which may lead to these disorders that we don't want to experience. Through having the awareness of these disorders, I would be able to be more sensitive with other people.
