The connection between stress and immunity is a concept I find relevant and essential because this highlights the idea that the immune system of a person can be highly dependent on a person’s lifestyle. If a person resorts to unhealthy health habits, such as smoking, drinking, and inadequate sleep, due to stress, it can lead to deleterious effects to a person’s health, like higher risks of obtaining diseases.

Learnings on this can be correlated to everyday life in a way that I could better understand that there are different ways how people deal with stress. Some turn to unhealthy habits to destress, and some are resistant to it. And those who destress in an unhealthy way are more prone to negative health effects. Moreover, as we learn the relationship between stress and immunity, we can become more conscious of how we deal with stress, and our current habits. We can better assess our lifestyle, stress management and relaxation skills, and improve it to healthier ones.
