One concept that will obviously be part of my everyday life is the relationship between stress and immunity. Not eating and/or exercising, as well as not sleeping properly and relaxing due to stress causes a decline in the efficiency or effectiveness of our immune system. Knowing this, I will have to teach myself to constantly remind myself to consume enough nutrients for energy and to get enough rest and sleep so that I wouldn’t be putting myself at more risk to more stressors, such as getting sick. Moreover, having a good work-life balance (example, getting involved in school whilst still maintaining a healthy relationship with self and others) can contribute to a better immunity. Knowing this, again, I must strive to have such balance.
