ORIGIN: Muscle fibers that surround the mouth's opening

INSERTION: The muscle and skin around and at the corner of the mouth

ACTION: It causes the lips to protrude against the teeth
2. MENTALIS

ORIGIN: Mandible

INSERTION: Skin of the chin

ACTION: It lifts the skin of the chin, makes the lower lip protrude and elevate
3. BUCCINATOR

ORIGIN: Alveolar processes of the mandible, maxilla, and pterygomandibular raphe

INSERTION: Orbicularis oris.

ACTION: Laterally drags the corner of the mouth, and presses the cheeks against the teeth and lips
4. CORRUGATOR SUPERCILII

ORIGIN: Medial end of the frontal bone's superciliary arch.

INSERTION: Skin of the eyebrow.

ACTION: It wrinkles up the forehead's skin vertically and inferiorly draws the eyebrows
5. ORBICULARIS OCULI

ORIGIN: Medial wall of the orbit

INSERTION: Circular tissues surrounding the eyes

ACTION: It blinks and closes the eyes
6. OCCIPITOFRONTALIS

ORIGIN: Aponeurosis of the epicranium

INSERTION: Skin superior to the supraorbital margin

ACTION: It wrinkles the forehead skin, raises eyebrows, and draws the scalp anteriorly
