    1. OriginIncisive fossa on anterior aspect of mandible

    3. ActionIt elevates and wrinkles skin of chin and protrudes lower lip
  4. Corrugator supercilii muscle
    1. OriginIt originates from the medial end of the superciliary arch of the frontal bone, cranially to the root of the nose
    2. InsertionIt inserts into the skin of the eyebrow above the middle part of the supraorbital margin
    3. ActionIt pulls the skin of the eyebrow downward and medially and produces vertical wrinkles of the forehead
  5. Orbicularis oculi
    1. Origin: It originates from the nasal portion of frontal bone, frontal process of maxilla, medial palpebral ligament, and the lacrimal bone
    2. Insertion: It inserts onto the lateral palpebral raphe and superior and interior tarsal plates
    3. ActionIt closes the eyelids and assists in pumping the tears from the eye into the nasolacrimal duct system
  6. Frontalis
    1. OriginIt originates posteriorly from the galea aponeurotica, which corresponds with the hairline on the surface
    2. InsertionAt the eyebrow dermis
    3. ActionIt elevates the eyebrows
