How the food changes consistency and form
-
The food changes consistency in the stomach when the stomach muscles secretes digestive juices. At the same time, the stomach muscles mix the food inside to help the digestive juices break the food from big to small pieces. This process results in the formation of chime, a liquid substance that indicates that the food is ready to move from the stomach to the small intestine.

How the body was able to absorb the nutrients from the foods we eat.
-
The body absorbs the nutrients from the food we eat by passing through the small and large intestine. The small intestine absorbs water and nutrients from the food, as well as completing the breakdown of proteins, carbohydrates, and fat. It also moves the absorbed water from the bloodstream to the GI tract for food digestion. On the other hand, the large intestine more water is absorbed and the bacteria from the LI breaks down more nutrients to make Vitamin K. Lastly, the circulatory system helps pass the nutrients to other parts of the body for their use.
