The signs and symptoms the patient is having is due to damage to the facial nerve, aka cranial VII nerve. In addition, the patient seems to have Bell's Palsy. In Bell's Palsy, the facial nerve is damaged, thus causing paralysis of one side of the face, and inability to move the eye in the paralyzed side (in the patient's case, the right side). Symptoms of Bell's Palsy also include dry mouth and loss of taste.
